Diabetics at Whataburger

Diabetics need to be a bit cautious while dining at Whataburger. Almost every burger is rich in sodium content and it is highly recommended to keep your burger cravings in control while dining at Whataburger. However, you can always satisfy your cravings for a burger by choosing Whataburger Jr. or other non-burger items from the menu.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for Diabetics:

A diabetic should resist from ordering any extra meat-based burger such as Double Meat Whataburger or Triple Meat Whataburger to limit the sodium intake and calories. Most burgers except the Whataburger Jr. are high in sodium and hence should be avoided.

High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. You should also avoid Avocado Bacon Burger and Monterey Melt as both these burgers contain a high amount of fat. Sweat & Spicy Bacon Burger will add extra 1080 calories in your diet so skip that as well. Whatacatch Dinner may sound tempting but the famous fish sandwich is also full of calories and unhealthy fat. Lastly, avoid French Fries and Onion Rings at Whataburger if you are already ordering a burger or any other heavy meal.

Stayed at GWL for a night and decided to check out Burger Claim after reading the Yelp reviews. Just absolutely delicious! The food was outstanding - burgers were juicy and fresh, fries were crisp and fresh. The food is reasonably priced and it is directly next to the resort so you don't have to lose your parking spot to go and eat off site. The only negative comment is the wait ... 25 minutes for 2 burgers and 2 kids hot dogs. There wasn't many mother patrons in the restaurant so I didn't understand why the long wait. They also forgot the kids fries so we had to wait longer for them to make it. I did go into it knowing there would likely be a wait because everything is fresh. Will be back for more the next time we are in the area.

We ate here as an afterthought when visiting the Great Wolf Lodge next door. Wow, I was glad we did stop here -- it was the tastiest food we ate on our visit. Now, it's not fine dining, but the place was very clean, staff friendly, service was quick and you could tell the food was prepared fresh. I travel the I-5 corridor between Seattle and Portland quite a bit. This is the best burger place between Tacoma and Vancouver.

Oh My God! This was the biggest flop I have ever experienced, encountered or wittnessed. On the night in question it took an hour for them to serve up our burgers a fries. Many people left with a refund and others got their food to go. The service was so slow and so incompetent, I have to blame ownership because no one appeared to be in charge. After 50 minutes several of us approached the counter and were told by a cashier than several team members were new and going through training. YOU'RE MAKING BURGERS! If some one is on the grill, someone is on the fryer and someone is on the cash register and drinks, you're golden. There were so many people behind the counter and no one was doing anything. There was actually an argument over what I ordered! A new person said it was a hotdog meal, while the cashier advised it was a burger meal. I stood there Jaw open watching this staff unravel. People were really made and no compensation or courtesy was extended. It was a serious cluster and although the product appeared to be beyond fresh, it was all tainted by the inexcusable lack of leadership or direction. Worst night out yet!

Very accommodating and good stop en route to seattle. We requested burger no bun with eggs, cartelized onions and tomatoes. Very nice service. Will be back

This would be a 4 star review if the registers were run better. We waited for 10 minutes, no joke, for them to take our order. The group in front of us spent over $110 and took forever, all while the drive through clerk stood there twiddling her thumbs. Finally our turn. That's when the drive through girl got on the register. Annoying. We got our burgers pretty fast considering the massive amount of food ordered before us. They were good, although slightly on the bland side. Onion rings were good and the French fries were great... and could feed a family of six.

I came here based off the reviews on yelp. First they have a pretty extensive menu and some pretty interesting combinations for burger creations so that's a plus. The prices are pretty steep and the portions are pretty decent. The food was ok. My regular cheese burger was very very greasy. The fries are normal fries although they have a variety of fries and other sides. My wife had the chili cheese burger and it was good as well. This place is located in the same parking lot of the great wolf lodge so be prepared to pay tourist prices. Overall the place was decent. I give it two stars because it is simply just too expensive and the taste is only mediocre at best. It's not bad but it's nothing to write home about. They serve Pepsi products They offer a reduced price if you are staying at the lodge 5% military discount

  • Carrie H.

I don't think this place has anything that is not totally over the top good. It's like Dairy Queen on steroids. The only thing I wish they would do is build one closer to Issaquah! They are right next door to Great Wolf Lodge and much better than the over priced food and drinks you get at the overpriced hotel. They have awesome food and I highly recommend the chili cheese fries they are awesome if you are feeling naughty!

  • Jason V.

Live by this place and have been many times, really good burgers loaded up with lots of stuff. A few unique ones as well and very customizable. They are gluten free friendly and even have a fryer to make your fries gluten free. The gluten free buns aren't great so I just get a burger on lettuce, which they make up really nice. Their shakes are pretty tasty too.

  • Tiffany M.

This place was awesome I felt like it was alittle pricey at first but then when we got our food I couldn't believe how much they give you! I had the burger dip and garlic fries my husband had the gorgonzola burger and loaded fries both were very yummy and we will be coming back again!

  • Sonja G.

Great food and good prices. The fries are the best! We went here 3 times while staying at Great Wolf Lodge, and the prices were 1/3 of the Lodge's. The burgers were homemade and very fresh. I had the regular 1/4 pound cheeseburger which was very good. I also tried the salmon burger which was a bit soggy, but still tasty. For breakfast, I had a cheese omelet that came with hashbrowns (crispy and good) and a biscuit. My kids liked the breakfast burrito and chicken fried steak sandwich very much. The hand-dipped ice cream was also very good, especially on a hot day! You even get a little discount for staying at the Lodge. I would come back here again if I stayed at GWL in the future.

  • Terrene R.

Excellent food, service and location......walk to it from across the parking lot of the Great Wolf Lodge! Way less expensive than eating at the lodge. So families take note! :-)

We walked over after eating GWL food for a few days. The food was great here. The guys working there were all friendly and very helpful. Overall an awesome experience.

  • Nancy R.

Went here with a large group last night and I was happy and excited to report back to tell that ordering for 12 people was a breeze an no confusion with the cashier whatsoever, she was great and very patient. Food portions are good, kicks a punch with flavor so my guest say! Overall it was a good burger joint! Shakes on the other hand were meh something had to give right?. I'm vegan but my entire family beside one are carnivores and to my surprise the cooks were very accommodating when it came to my order :) burgers, fries and drinks are all sold separately as well, they serve a generous amount of fries so we ordered three baskets of reg and one SP. overall I would stop here again some time, Ooh I forgot to mention you get a 7 percent discount just for staying at the GWL :)

    (4)
  • Dejah S.

Great tasting burgers! Friendly staff. The lady who took our order was very helpful. Gluten free buns are available (yay). They have a great kids menu and a fair selection of bottled beers (the hubby went for Blue Moon). If you are staying at Great Wolf, you receive a 5% discount, which was about $1.55 for us, but hey... It's much better than paying "stadium prices" for food at GW. Definitely check this place out.

  • Bettie S.

My 5yr old had the little miner hotdog which she liked, tho she said her fries tasted better with ranch then without..I had the regular cheeseburger and OMG it was delicious...lots of food for the price you pay..I recommend you eating here....delicious...yummy....food

  • Jane H.

I didn't have high expectations of this, with it being next door to Great Wolf Lodge (I don't know what that has to do with anything but anyway) ... it was really quite good. I had a gorgonzola burger and hubbie had a burger dip and we shared tots. Plenty enough food for us - and we like food!

    (4)
  • Greg T.

The service was top notch. They grind there own meat and cut the fries too. Very pleased with our food and cleanliness. The owner had brought the kids ice cream also. It was amazing! I would hope any of you would consider this mom and pop burger place before the big corporations. Thanks!

  • Bo H.

When you're staying at the Great Wolf Lodge and you require dinner at not Great Wolf prices- Burger Claim is just a short walk across the parking lot. It's a burger joint, sure, but it's got quite a diverse menu. The kiddo loved the fish sandwich, grandma thought the chili-cheese fries were tasty, and everyone else was thankful to have a quality burger with large sides of french fries after a day at the waterpark. The onion rings are pretty great too.

    (3)
  • Bruce W.

Wow That was a great burger. Prices reasonable especially compared to grill at great wolf lodge. Don and Renee are taking it to the next level.

    (4)
  • DeAnna C.

Yum yum yum a bit pricey but being next to Great Wolf I get it. Though the food is worth every penny the burgers are big and flavorful. The garlic fries are to die for!! These are the best burgers I ever had and by far the best in the area!!!!

    (5)
  • Rob H.

The food comes out slow. Burger are ok. They do have great banana milk shakes. It is a little over priced for what it is which is fast food.

  • Ryan H.

It was so amazing I HAD TO COME BACK!! I got th 3/4 pound burger, while my wife had the gorgonzola burger. It was perfect, and i thought the food was worth the wait.

  • Chris R.

Great freshly-ground-never-frozen burgers on a perfect bun are made to order. Fries are freshly cut daily- not frozen. Prices are very comparative to McD's. Breakfast sandwich is superb! Salads are fresh and delicious! My kids never turn down a visit to this unique burger joint. Recently, they added bottled beer. Great Wolf Lodge guests wearing their wristbands receive a 5% discount their whole order. Burger Claim now serves bottled beer and wine coolers.

Good food on our way out from great wolf lodge. Mention that you stayed there and you get a discount.

  • Jensen S.

Good burgers, at a decent price. I tried the peanut butter burger with no cheese. I like peanut butter and I like burgers so why not put them together. It was surprisingly tasty. Apparently it's next to a water park so it can get that whole crowd during meal times. If you're driving down the I5 and need something to eat, I would suggest this place. Not far off the I5 and for under $10 you can get a good FULL meal.

  • Miranda W.

If I had the option of NO stars I would have gone with that!!! After a 25 minute wait at a 'fast food' style place, we received COLD food and no sides or dressing we asked for. We had to wait in line all over again to get what was missing, and they were annoyed that we wanted what we had paid for. On top of that, the employees were fighting with each in plain view of customers. There were a lot of open tables, but non were cleared off for anyone to sit at. What a disaster of a place.

    (1)
  • Davinie F.

Yum. Burgers were delicious. The youngest was happy to get chicken strips. We all had fry sauce, and french fries for miles.

    (4)
  • R. C.

Good burgers, although spendy. Long wait times are ok, since they cook to order. Close to Interstate, easy off and easy back on.

  • Matt M.

Wow the prices are great!! The food was awesome!! We have eaten there everytime we come up that way. We love the breakfast and dinner! This is a must go place!!

  • Kate D.

Loved the big bags of potatoes when you walk in the door (can you say fresh cut fries?). We had the Bacon Cheese Burgers. Oh soooo good. Mine was even better with a few of my Onion Rings in it. I like that they grind their own burger meat. The staff was so nice, even the bus boy was nice and polite(asked how we were doing and if we needed anything else). Very clean at the tables as well as at the condiment/beverage station. Well worth the road trip to Burger Claim.

  • Katinka R.

This place is great. They have good food at reasonable prices. I only wish they served breakfast all day. I dropped the husband and kids there for lunch, then walked over to check in at the lodge and get the wristbands. The restaurant was very empty. The tables and floors were all clean. I got a caesar salad, which was delicious, and some ice tea. Next trip to the Great Wolf, I would eat every meal here if I was only staying for one night. This was the closest real food, the portions were big, and all of the kids devoured their food... which didn't happen again until we left Grand Mound. It was very inexpensive, though I had most of the kid order off of the regular menu instead of the kids menu. The staff was very friendly and patient.

Had THE best veggie burger with a healthy bun! We asked for jalapenos, and got fresh slices on our burger! Amazing! Great size, great price, outstanding service! This is our new stop along I-5 for a meal!

  • Christian J.

They always have great food and I love it and will be a burger lover friendly staff very clean and fast will recommend to my friends and it's not to expensive to . That's why I rate it a 5 star!

  • L T.

I would HIGHLY recommend this place. We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge (like I read on quite a few other reviews...). I read the reviews and the reviews for the food at the lodge and decided it was worth a trip across the parking lot. It was really good! You don't find many little places like that still do everything fresh: ground meat to make the hamburgers, potatoes to french fries, etc. We ordered french fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings - in addition to our sandwiches. AWESOME! It's good enough that if I was going through on I-5 and it was time to eat, I would definitely go! (My price range review says moderate: $11-$30, but a person could get a sandwich, fries and a drink for $15 or less.)

  • A M.

After a family trip to Great Wolfe Lodge we were wanting lunch before our road trip home. We drove by this place and hit it up because it was convenient. It was really good and doesn't sit incredibly heavy. Make sure you keep a wrist band from the lodge for your 5% discount.

  • Alyshea M.

I love the Burger Claim, great food. The burgers are to die for. Only gave them a 4 star because the meal always seems to come up pricey.

    (4)
  • Samantha B.

Every few month I forget why I dislike this place and I go again only to be reminded. The burgers are too expensive to be sub-par. The fries just aren't good and for first timers there is no instruction on what the hell you are supposed to do. Stand there like an idiot while people ignore you, nice.

  • HaeLey M.

Niiiicee! Burger joint. Burgers are thick juicy and fresh. We are staying at the Great Wolf Lodge for the weekend....and it's just a 5min walk to Burger Claim. There regular cut fries...are shoe string fries. Burgers...Fries...Drinks are Seperate. No combos. Clean Casual Place.

Has potential, I just ordered wrong...Half pound is just two qp patties which took too much away from the toppings...Get a single patty and the fresh cut fries, still $2-3 high in my opinion...

    (3)
  • Eric L.

I came here with my family going home after great wolf. Prices are way more reasonable, and more tasty choices. I like that they use fresh ground beef and form the patties after you order. The fresh cut fries were crispy and the staff was helpful and friendly. I will return.

  • Kristina S.

We've been here twice while visiting Great Wolf Lodge next door. The first visit went well. The food took awhile, but everyone was happy. The second time was miserable. We got the food 40 min after ordering! For "fast" food! We got it to go and went back to our room, only to find we were missing an item and the fries were super soggy. The 2 stars is because they offer gluten-free food. If you go, do not go when they are busy. They just don't seem equipped to handle heavy traffic.

  • Kristy K.

We walked over to Burger Claim from Great Wolf Lodge for a late lunch. We were pleasantly surprised after reading some of the bad reviews. The Chicken Fajita Salad was crisp and fresh. The Parmesan Fries were delicious. The kids liked their reasonably priced Cheeseburger Kids' Meals, too. All in all a great lunch.

First I'd like to thank my cashier, Theresa who had only been working there for about 4 days. She did a wonderful job going over the options and really seemed to have a great grasp of the business. I haven't seen or experienced customer service like that in a long time. Kudos to her! The food itself is kinda like a greasy spoon/fast food merger, and this particular location is next door to a Great Wolf indoor water park that has great food, but very expensive food. The price was great, my family of 3 barely paid over $30 for a full spread. Like I said earlier its fast food/greasy spoon, so if that's not your thing you might not enjoy the food. Food quality was high, and the meat for the burgers is real not some engineered soybean slab. I live a bit away from here so I won't visit often but when I am nearby I will plan to eat here again.

Ghost Pepper Burger!!......enough said......well almost. burger had enough heat to make it hurt a little but could have been a little spicier. there was five of us and from what I could tell every one loved their food. My 6 year old inhaled her burger and shes about the most finicky eater ive ever seen. The Ghost pepper burger was one of the best burgers ive had in a long while. kind of spendy and you have to order frys or tots separate. The good thing is you can order 2 pounds of tots for everyone to share for cheap.......and they have beer!!!!!! Cold beer is great when your chowing down a juicy ghost pepper burger. The service was a little slow but the wait was worth it.

We went to the Great Wolf Lodge which in itself was overly priced & disappointing. Their food was overpriced & the buffet closed an hour early the night we went. So hungry and looking for a place to eat, we walked about 200 yds north of the GWL & came across - Burger Claim. This was absolutely the highlight to our Great Lodge experience (no they are not affiliated). The food is fresh, fries cut fresh, burgers are created from top quality beef & not even molded until you order - no frozen patties here, REAL ice cream milkshakes hand spun, the food was seasoned well, fulfilling portion & prices were very reasonable. I had the mushroom bacon swiss and by far the best burger I've eaten. We are going for breakfast in the morning! Edit, the breakfasts are equally good.

  • Bryce A.

Overpriced and not good. I'm not a picky eater, but I recently paid $26 to feed two adults and a child the worst burgers and fries we have ever eaten. Fries were lukewarm and soggy. Burgers were just plain bad. We could have ordered the same items at McDonald's for less than half the cost and enjoyed them! Don't be fooled by the false 'claims.' If you're attempting to escape the expensive yuckiness served at Great Wolf Lodge, keep prospectin' on down to Centralia or to the other restaurants just past this hole in the ground.

Was not any cheaper than the Lodge for our family of four, but tots and burgers were a nice change of pace. Employees were friendly. Service was good.

After a weekend in Portland, we were heading back home to Bellingham. We usually stop in Chehalis at Burgerville along the way but missed the exit. Soooo I got on Yelp to find other hamburger places and this place got decent reviews. Pros: fresh ground burgers, not frozen. Had quite a few varieties but I just went with the 1/4 lb cheeseburger and the husband got the 1/2 lb cheeseburger. Very good, juicy burger. Lettuce was a little scarce and limp. I had the onion rings which were big, crisp and pretty tasty. Staff was very friendly. A western/mining theme and decor for the restaurant which makes sense since it's right next door to Great Wolf Lodge. Very kid friendly. Cons: The husband got regular fries. ( there were several kinds like chili cheese, garlic Parmesan, sweet potato ) and although they are fresh cut , they were limp and not very crispy. For a restaurant this size , I was kind of surprised that the restrooms were one stall only. The sink was clogged in the women's restroom. For the two of us, the bill was just over $20. That's for two cheeseburgers, one fry, one onion ring and two pops. More expensive than fast food, less expensive than a Red Robin type place.

  • Aaron L.

We stopped by here for lunch while staying at the Great Wolf Lodge. Someone recommended this place as an alternative to eating inside the hotel and said the burgers were pretty good. Nobody in our party got burgers and learned our lesson with the steak sandwich and fish N chips being just barely mediocre. I wouldn't go out of my way to stop here, but considering how close it is, it's 1/2 the price (you get a discount if you show them your wristband) and it's a chance to break away from the craziness of the lodge, it's not a bad choice.

    (3)
  • Chris W.

Way overpriced....you will pay up for a family to eat here...expect to pay upwards of $30 or more for 3...or over $15 per person depending on what burger you get/ plus adding in the fries and drink...

I was thrilled to get 6 full meals for $35.00ish. The shoe string fries were SO GOOD (they are not the long super thin type fries, but they were really small, fun, and yummy). Above all, I was blown away at how friendly the staff was, they were wonderful, and they treated my kids with respect, and that does not always happen everywhere you go, so that was really nice. Loved our visit! Hint of advice: Although the burgers were good, they were a little dry, and the buns taste funny, not the best bread. Still worth it! Thanks

Excellent burgers and salmon burgers. Home style fries good but get shoestring is you prefer crispy fries. Friendly staff and clean place.

had dinner here while staying at the Great Wolf Lodge, the order was ready at the time it should have been and the food was delicious. We had a bacon cheeseburger and added a fried egg, it was great. Also had Tator tots and French fries. Which were really good. I loved the fry sauce.

I gave it a 4-star rating, simply because i've only been there once--and I ordered a damned FISH burger!?! I don't think it would be fair for me to make an evaluation of this restaurant, as a whole, based on my single fish burger experience. I can say that the staff is (this time) VERY friendly, their prices are more than fair, and the restaurant is not only very clean... but nicely dressed. I will be trying their 1/2 pound burger, during my next visit.

Took the grandkids to the Great Wolf Lodge last weekend and this place is almost right in there parking lot. Everything was delish and very well priced under $10.00 for burgers and frys... There meat is all in house ground out of 3 different beef cuts and very tender. The home frys were delish and they give you so many in your basket. My grandkids were so happy with there choices. Will be going back on our way down to Oregon. Very happy with the service and freshness of the food.

We stopped here on our way out from Great Wolf Lodge. First of all, you get a discount so show them your armbands! We didn't know about that - but when we drove up to the window, the girl said, "Oh, you get a discount since you are from GWL!" I don't know how much it was - but yeah! We went through the drive-thru. The menu is easy to read - a lot of choices. The food is pricier than your typical "burger" place. But the food we had was excellent! My husband and I both had salmon burgers. It was REAL salmon not a salmon patty and it was delicious. Well cooked. The fries and tater tots were yummy and hot. My son had chicken strips - also delicious! They say they are famous for their shakes but we didn't try those. Maybe next time. 4 stars until we go again...then I would upgrade with another good experience.

What we had: I had the two peppers cheeseburger (jalapenos and, I think, poblenos). My wife had a bacon mushroom burger. Three of our kids ordered off the kids menu (hot dog, hamburger, and cheeseburger) and my oldest ordered the country fried steak sandwich with onion rings. We also shared some garlic parmesan fries. The kids meals come with your choice of fries or apple slices. This place had excellent food and great service. They were very friendly. Don't forget to ask for your 5% discount if you're staying at Great Wolf, or 15% if you're military. The food here was at least as good as the meal we had at Great Wolf and my family of six spent $90 less on our meal here than we did at the restaurant in Great Wolf. We spend a grand total of about $40. The beef and the potatoes are prepared fresh daily. The fries are cooked to order, so you won't find yourself with the spill left over from the last batch soaked in grease. The garlic parmesan fries were amazing. If you're a garlic fan, you have to try these! Some previous reviews had critiqued this place for being "too fast foody" but I had the opposite impression. I was a little apprehensive when I first arrived, because it is in the parking lot of a gas station and it does have a drive-thru. But the originality of the decor was entertaining -- light strings made of shotgun shells and "old-timey" style signage and pictures. The kids all got a kick out of it. Also, while the food came quickly, it didn't taste like fast food, and the employees were extremely kind and helpful, with one of them helping me by carrying one of the trays to my table for me. The only downside: The bathrooms are pretty small. They're single occupancy. We'll hit this place up again on the way out of town tomorrow and plan to suggest all our friends go here when they come to Great Wolf.

This place is very knowledgable about gluten allergies first of all.. The burger and fries are excellent with a good gluten free bun.. You can actually see them making your burger if you are like me it helps to see your food prepped. The fries are gluten free also and they have the signature sauce gluten free.. They box your burger in a clear container if its gluten free so that nothing falls into it as it is passed out of the kitchen. I think they have cross contamination training just from what I observed..

We planned a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge and I did my research and decided to come here and I'm so glad we did. First it was interesting set up inside, kind of countryish. The food was cheap, most of the kids meals were $3.99. My daughter got the kids chicken sandwhich with tater tots, she loved it and it was cooked fresh. I got the kids cheeseburger (I don't eat much) I ordered it plain and it was so fresh and it had a lot of flavor! My husband got the ghost burger on a pretzel bun and he loved it!! It was also fresh and hot! We spent a total of $20.04! Try it out if your staying at the lodge! They also serve breakfast!

Excellent food! Maybe 1 to 2 dollars more expensive then it should be, but when on a long road trip and all you want is something good to eat, this is your place. It's excellent!

My family and I ate there yesterday, Aug 27th, for dinner and will be returning tonight. The kids meals are fabulous. Perfectly sized for my big eaters with fries left over. Their do charge a bit extra for milk or juice but a fountain drink is included in the price of the meal. The on lion rings and fry sauce are AMAZING. I will be having those again. I had the 1/4 lb cheese burger and it was a good size. My husband had the half pound cheese burger and it came with so much bacon!! which is not a bad thing! He enjoyed every bite. The prices are fantastic! They offer a 15% military discount and with that we paid less than $25 for a family of 5! Hard to do in a restaurant that cooks its food made to order. If you visit Great Wolf it is just a walk through the parking lot and worth the walk. It saves so much money. UPDATE Aug 29th" We ate breakfast here this morning, as my review stated we would. The flap jacks are fantastic, the hash browns and ham are divine. The omelets... Not so much. It's a boxed egg product but their fried and scrambled eggs are fresh. Will be returning on our next trip to GWL.

This place was great! We stayed at great wolf lodge and before the parking lot we noticed this place and I thought "oh that place looks cool" so we decided to go for dinner. At first I thought it was going to be a sit down restaurant with waiters etc... but it wasn't and I was totally fine with this. They have booths and you order your food right when you walk in like a fast food joint but they make it all right to order including the delicious beef burgers. The food here is amazing. We orders the chicken strips and burgers and both were awesome. Portions are also huge for the money.. great value. We fed our family of 4 for under $30 and loved the food so much we went back for breakfast and fed the family for $12! Remember to show your Great wold lodge wristbands for 5% off your total! I must say the staff also makes this place awesome. They are very friendly and on the ball. They definitely look like they enjoy where they work. I must say when we go back to great wolf lodge we will be back. I didn't even bother with the in resort restaurants because of their ridiculous prices and horrible reviews.

We spend $50 for 6 people here. That's with 2 teenage boys who have bottomless stomachs. Decent food, my boyfriend said their chili cheese fries were the best he ever ate and he is a picky eater.

Very generous portions. Burgers, chicken and tots were not bad for fast good. Sodas not so tasty. They were very busy. I noticed a worker touching the fried food without gloves and then wiping her hands on her pants. Unfortunate. Gave a 5% discount for great wolf lodge visitors.

We walked over from The Great Wolf Lodge based on the relatively decent reviews of this place. My review is based on the breakfast. My husband had the chicken fried steak which he said was really great. It held up the preparation of the rest of our meals, and was the only decent thing we got. The kids ordered pancakes. You could NOT cut them. I know that I'm one hell of a cook and it would be REALLY HARD for a fast food place to top my magical pancakes, but this place managed to destroy pancakes in 12 minutes. I ordered a cheese and ham omelette. It came out with a slice on American cheese melted on top of it. Inside it was also a slice of American cheese with 12 tiny bits of ham steak. I'd guess that the 'cheese' was a Kraft single, but it's been so long since I've had one of those, that I can't say for sure. The hashbrowns that came with the omelette and chicken fried steak were undercooked and tasteless. Did we save $20 off what it would have cost to have the breakfast buffet at the lodge? Yes, we did. But we wasted the $7 my meal cost, my kids ate the sausages, but not the pancakes, and my husband enjoyed his chicken fried steak. So... well, we spent $27 on those three items because everything else went into the trash. Next time I'll stick with the offerings on site.

Ate there for the first time today. I had the Bacon, mushroom burger which was great except the bun was cold. Nothing worse than cold buns. I also had the regular fries which were very, very greasy. Not too sure if I'll go back even though we live fairly closeby.

me and the fam went to the Great Wolf Lodge. This is just right down the road in kind of the same parking lot. We decided to eat here and save some cash. Intead of eating lunch in the lodge. Now I am a Burger Fan. I have had burgers all over the world. IN N out burger is one of my favs. The Burger was pretty good. It had some kind of flavor to it wich reminded me a little of In N out. The fries were crispy and tasty. I can see how this place would suck if it was busy, It was not busy at all when we were there and the food was pretty good. I will go here again if in the area!!

15% Military Discount! ... A great stop near the Centralia outlets. The Good: Customizable patty sizes, from 3-16 oz; good quality meat (not grass fed, but this is fast food); REAL ice cream SHAKES in only a few flavors, so that they are done right; decent hours; very friendly staff; clean (but limited) facilities; a variety of specialty burgers if you're in the mood for something which doesn't taste like road food (I suggest trying the Two Peppers Burger, subbed to chicken breast); their coffee is actually worth drinking (unheard of for fast food... I suggest the mocha milkshake, with an extra shot of espresso); decent priced gas beside them; 15% military discount can't be repeated enough. The Bad: Limited latrine facilities; the location adds a few minutes travel time, the menu will tempt you to over eat; the drive-thru is probably best avoided (depending on the order, it can take a few minutes; you might as well some inside). The Ugly: Location... Yeah, it's a single location instead of a chain; they will not be coming to your city any time soon. Admittedly I'd consider a lower rating, if not for them being one of two fast food places worth checking out on the road between Portland and Seattle. For burgers themselves I can name better places, but none within a hundred miles of them.

We stopped at this restaurant on our way home from the Oregon Coast, it was the WORST customer service I have ever received In a food establishment. I can't even tell you if the food was good since it was ruined by the cashier Rena.. Saying girl you need to speak up I can't hear you.. Her some advice take of the headset for drive-thru if your working up front. Also when a customer tells you it's to go don't say now it will take longer to pack up I will NEVER EVER return there even if I'm starving. I will go to McDonald's instead.

  • Shawna V.

I am totally obsessed with their sweet potato fries! Yummmmm!!! I also really enjoy the Gorgonzola burger. Burgers are best eaten right away as they tend to get soggy if they sit (even if only a short drive home 5 minutes). My family really loves their onion rings!

Look, there is nowhere to eat around Great Wolf Lodge.. except for 4 restaurants. 2 of them are Dairy Queen and McDonalds. The burger was okay, but it had way too much blue cheese. Totally not even as good as Five Guys or even Moderne Burger in Vancouver. But it was a burger and it was good.

Enough time has past where I feel an update is important to give. I've now eaten here three more times and have enjoyed the food. The service has also been better. I think the prices are high for the area, but this isn't a bad place. I have NOT eaten breakfast here yet.

Let me ask you a simple question: are you in Great Wolf Lodge right this second? If no, read no further: Burger Claim is not for you. If yes, would you describe yourself as "sick of that freaking giant bucket" or "creeped out by animatronic 'storytime'" or "perplexed by the subset of wand wavers who might be old enough to work at the Post Office?" Most importantly, are you so tired that you are getting talked into Camp Critter? Stop. Check yourself. You. Should. Walk. Across. The. Parking. Lot. I'm assuming you came here with children, and you are a red-blooded burger-eating American. If so, Burger Claim is where it's at. At least while you're stupefied and currently in Great Wolf Lodge. Good burgers. Good fries. Good shakes. Good prices. Let me say it again: good PRICES. Good alternative to Great Wolf Lodge's lackluster and overpriced in-house dining. The mocha shake and sweet potato fries are particularly good. Go for it. It is the best burger joint in a one-half-mile radius, and you KNOW that's as far as you're willing to go right now.

Flies everywhere. Fish and chips. Fish was the worse I have ever had. Burgers are pretty good. Don't order fish! I would eat one of their burgers again.

Their Date Shake is the best shake ever. I may drive down from Seattle again just for that. We also tried the sweet potato fries and a jalapeno burger. Yummy! Especially the Date Shake.

  • Chris B.

If you're coming to Burger Claim and expecting exceptional service, you'll be a bit disappointed...but the food is much better than average, which keeps me coming back on occasion. The burgers are great, their bread is fresh and they offer sweet potato fries (try them with caramel sauce!). I'm usually in the mood for a Burger Claim burger once a month and when I show up I can expect to fork over just under $10 for a 1/3-lb. burger, a good deal of sweet potato fries and a drink. Not bad. $.99 flapjacks can't be beat. Tasty and they also serve Tully's coffee. Pros: Free refills on drinks, good sweet potato fries, fresh meat/bread Cons: Customer service is lacking, especially when busy; avoid the drive-thru at all costs

  • Kristina G.

This place was surprisingly good. The sweet potato fries are awesome and the sauce they come with is delish! The burgers are typical, pretty good. It wasn't too busy when we went, a few people came from Great Wolf I guess because it's cheaper. Service was normal fast food service.

We had breakfast, lunch and dinner here while staying at Great Wolf Lodge. Service was fantastic and the food was good. Burger Claim is just a short walk (5 minutes) from the GWL lobby. Go out the north entrance and you will see it right next to the gas station. Show your GWL wristband for a 5% discount.

Best place to eat hands down when staying at Great Wolf Lodge. Only a 5 minute walk. Food is incredible and prices are amazing. I love the huge portions and each time I have ordered a salad I have enough left to have the next day for lunch. Forget eating at the lodge too pricey and the food (besides breakfast if you include it in your stay) isn 't very good. The Burger Claim is the place to eat.

horrible mushy salmon, side salad was chopped lettuce and mushy tomatoes with a "dressing" that was supposed to be huckleberry vinegrette but had the consistency and taste of koolaide.

Great food! Everything is incredibly fresh! My family loves to eat there. We like the food much better than the alternative fast food choices in the area. The prices are very comparable to other drive thru joints BUT the burgers are so much better!! Be prepared to wait a little while for your food. But it will be worth the wait when you finally get it. We have ate there several times and always receive great customer service.

Yelped our way to a great little burger place on the way from Seattle to Portland! Handmade burgers when you order them, crispy onion rings, nummy sweet potato fries, and handmade milkshakes await you at the Burger Claim by the Great Wolf Lodge! My boys ordered a chicken fried steak sandwich with country gravy that they loved. We will come back again someday for sure!

Just tried this place after going down I-5, getting off because of horrible traffic, and taking the old 99 highway down through Centralia. OMG, the burger had grissle galor in it. wtf! Several younger 20 somethings working in there that gave mediocre customer service. I might try this place again, but was blown away at the quality of food or service. I've got to stop eating at these damn fast food joints. What do I expect? They are run by 18+ people that really don't give a sh*t these days. Cool outer front of place. Small facility next to a gas station and that hotel park lodge. Eh, anyone else tried this place out? I didn't even know it was around, but since I drove right by it we decided to stop in. Oh and the road is under construction too, so my thought of saving time and getting around some of the I-5 BS, didn't help at all, cuz its 25 mph in parts. I will try again someday. Go with open mind. Prices were cheap though! :) If people working there don't give great customer service, tell the management. I always do. I won't pay for crappy service ever again from any business, especially in this economy. I changed my star rating on this to 3, simply because for the price it beats many places and gives decent food, say compared to McDix. Then again, I just read the review on this place at tripadvisor and that guy got the royal screw from here. Wow. I may need to change back to 1 star now. People, if you are going to open a business, you better damn well know what you are doing and treat the customers like they are kings/queens, because without them, guess what? Nobody pays your bills! Good luck

AMAZING! We stopped here twice and loved it both times, and actually took burgers home they were so good. A little on the spendy side but totally worth it! We ate lunch and dinner here and coming from a resturant family I can def say this place rocks! We are planning another trip down here just for the food!

This place is excellent! Great service, great burgers, family friendly and not pricy! The kids meals are amazing, large portion of Dicks style fries (not greasy), and a freash burger where you have the option to also get lettuce and pickles. And on top of this: Real Barista station so that you can get a Latte with your burger. Of course, we had a super nice lady taking our orders, who took her time to listen to the kids burger specifics!

Breakfast...nothing fancy but, just good food. Called over from Great Wolf Lodge; 7 minutes later it was ready to picked up and we were eating within another 5 minutes. You get 5% off for staying at Great Wolf as well. So.....it doesn't look like much and, it doesn't need to. Great place - I'll go back.

I eat a LOT of burgers, and Burger Claim is one of my favorites. All the -ingredients are fresh, wholesome and full of flavor. Most of them are locally sourced too! The Gorgonzola burger with onion straws is a nice change of pace, but I am a slave to the Bacon Mushroom burger. Burger Claim kicks out a better product than Red Robin/Chili's/Outback etc..at half the price.

If youre staying at the GWL then you have to take a short walk across the parking lot to this place and save some $$$. Had breakfast here one day. Decent, nothing special. Then a late lunch the next day. Good burgers and good fries. Prices were really good. Kids had the little miner cheeseburger. 3oz patty for $1.49!

  • Tamarra A.

The food and prices are amazing!! The food was better here and when they found out that we were staying at the lodge next door they gave us a discount! I would have paid more for the food cause it was that good! Only downfall is their Pepsi. Oh and they serve breakfast too, if we would have known that we would have came here for breakfast instead of doing the buffet at the lodge.

I am sad to write this because I enjoyed this place pretty regularly over the last year. I have taken family to eat there when in town to visit us and recommended it to friends and neighbors. Unfortunately the feedback we recieved from both sources was that they were not as into it as we were. We loved the gargonzola burger but started to realize after branching out in the menu that we were not as impressed with any of the other burgers as they lacked flavor. In one case I ordered the special, a prime rib sandwich that was a slab of steak on a bun that turned out to be still raw in one part. The reason I feel compelled to write however is service. I was treated very rudely by a woman who said she was the owner today because I was questioning how I was being charged for a combo meal. She inserted herself into the discussion and aggressively told me I was wrong and that was how it has always been and turned her back on me and walked away. I chose not to order anything else and asked for my food to be to go instead of sitting down to enjoy it as we had planned. I won't be returning to this place where my business isn't appreciated.
